Guide to the ID Section - Read Before Posting!

Connor Macleod

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
is it me or the link doesn't work
The reason it didn't work is because the post is 9 years old and last year, FreeOnes stopped using vBulletin and went to Xenforo. Xenforo uses a different linking format and the "redirect" stopped working a few months ago.

Anyhow, the correct link is: https://www.freeones.com/forums/threads/486721

However, I wouldn't use any of the hosts shown in the first post. All but one now suffer from one problem or another:
Site is down.
Site has "issues".
Site has become spammy.
The site has been banned.
The TOS has been changed.
Other reasons...

Try one of these:

Help! I don't know how to use the Search Function!
Quick question.

Is it permissible to seek help in finding an Adult Comic I once saw, in the, "ID" section? I have explicit detail to post, as to the subject and nature of the exact Comic that I saw.

Just figured I'd ask before hand to be safe.

Thanks.

If the comic is against any rules: absolutely not. If it isn't, still better to use yandex reverse image search or saucenao.com for this purpose, I think.

Or is it that you don't have any images to post, just a description? Rules apply in any case, but don't know what to say beyond that then.

@Automate

Comic is nothing over the top, or out of site rules. I do not have an image to upload, only memory, that is why I was checking to see if it was acceptable to post in the, "ID" section, I am hoping someone has seen the exact comic, and can lead me to it once again. Again, I would try the two search engine links you posted, (which by the way I am thankful for, as TinEye has gone to hell in a hand-basket as of late), but I do not have an image to post.

Yeah, tineye has been shit for many years now when it cums to porn. Yandex is for general porn searches, saucenao exclusively for porn comics as they don't index any real photos (or if they do, it's only by mistake). Though saucenao tends to find only hentai in 99% of cases, so it's almost completely useless to me.

Just noticed: time to remove tineye from my signature.

Yes, these words change as I post more!
Hello! I am new here, sorry for my ignorance. Is there a way to upload a picture from my computer, instead of linking from a URL? I tried looking at the instructions and a test post, but could not figure out how to upload a file or send as an attachment.

As a new member, you don't yet have access to the attach feature.

Ok, thank you. Sorry if this information is somewhere and I missed it - do I just wait for a period of time? Or do I have to do something?

Like like private messages, it all unlocks when you get a few posts and some reputation score under your belt.

Because it needs to be posted again. 🤦‍♂️

Install the new add-on/extension Fast Image Research in Firefox or Chrome.
It allows you to right click on most pics or gifs and do an image search with 3 different websites, including Google, Tineye, and Yandex.

I've been using this extension for a long time, but Google stopped working within the extension a few weeks ago. I tried installing several other extensions so I could do RIS with Google, but none worked until I found one called Search by Image. Has anyone else had issues where Google stopped working with some of these extensions?

Google changed "Image Search" to "Google Lens". It's more advanced and does better searches.
In the google page that opens, click "Find image source" above the photo to do the image search, and two new features below the photo allows you to do a search of any text in the photo, or translate any text in the photo.
Yandex was usually better at finding photos, but I've been getting good results with the new Google Lens.

In the past when I didn't get results, I would sometimes look at the Properties and then Details of a pic. In some instances, this gave me some info (photographer name / model name / other) that yielded results. Other times, I would load a pic into Wordpad, or MS Word. Yes, that sounds super-odd, but a few times, I managed to find a text string that led me in the right direction.

Obviously, Google had to do something as Yandex has been kicking their ass in the reverse image search arena.

Thanks for the info.

The only image source seems to be in using a URL. I would like to search for an image from my hard drive but don't see a way to upload an image file.
