Jesse Jane: “The Internet Is Slowly Killing The Industry”

To be honest, much of what porn legend Jesse Jane says in this interview with GQ is stuff that has been said by many ex-performers before.
But I think it’s actually a case that the internet has had both a positive and negative effect on porn. Accessibility has its upsides and downsides, and while it’s great that so many men and women can make a living out of adult performing, it’s fair to say that the general standard has dropped.
Jesse Jane started doing porn back in 2003 and officially retired in 2007. Back then the porn was so much different back then, and she was considered the crazy one in her scenes. However, the things she did are considered softcore to the stuff that’s happening in today’s scenes.
Today’s pornstars do too much!
Jesse just doesn’t understand why a lot of performers do weird things in scenes. As she said, she just doesn’t find any satisfaction in shoving baseballs in her asshole or getting ass-fucked by three dicks. What happened to the good-old porn where a girl has wild sex with only one guy? Things like this ruined porn, and that’s one of the reasons why Jesse wouldn’t go back to doing porn that’s popular nowadays.
Advice for new pornstars
It’s quite easy to become a pornstar nowadays, and Jesse Jane just wants to give a few pieces of advice to anyone considering joining the adult industry. A lot of girls think about doing porn because they want to earn extra money and hope that nobody will find out. You can forget about that because somebody will see a scene you made eventually, and the word will quickly come to your family and friends. There’s just no way that you stay anonymous if you decide to make porn!
One more piece of advice Jesse had for newcomers is that they shouldn’t be bullied into making scenes they aren’t comfortable with. A lot of agents will try to talk performers into doing all kinds of things just to make more money. Jesse said: “If you’re getting into the industry and you’re a girl, and you don’t like girls, please don’t do a girl-girl scene.”
Is Jesse interested in doing porn again?
Jesse had a straightforward answer to this important question. If someone asks her to do porn that’s popular today, she would say NO immediately. However, if she had a chance to do porn as she did at the beginning of her career, she would give it a go. Also, it would be even better if she had a chance to work with some of her friends!
