Ray Lewis is a thug.. They still never found that .. white suit he was wearing, when that homicide occurred..

Also - he was disgusting, in the intro to the Superbowl vs. .. the NYG? All he did for 30 seconds was growl at the camera, and spit..

43 days until the return of NFL Football so today we honor Troy Polamalu, safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Polamalu anchored a Steelers secondary which was instrumental in two Super Bowl wins (XL, XLIII). He was a six time All-Pro, was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year (2010) and is a member of the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020.

Aaron Rodgers was present for the start of Packers training camp.

Rodgers sauntered into the team facility Tuesday morning after months of brinksmanship. It was only in June that the Jordan Love era appeared to be underway in Green Bay. But last-minute negotiations that could ensure Rodgers can escape the Packers snake pit after this season locked him in for one last ride in Green Bay. Rodgers' redraft ADP is sure to jump in the coming days, along with Davante Adams and Aaron Jones. Though his career-high 9.1 percent touchdown rate from 2020 is sure to fall a bit in 2021, Rodgers should be among the first non-rushing QBs off the draft board this summer.

Nattering Nabob of Negativism
Washington Football Team has grown on me, but it probably doesn’t sell merchandise. Redwolves sounds like the best of the bunch. No football team uses Guardians.

I like Commanders, or Armada. Presidents is too .. "narcissistic?" (What if they have a string of bad seasons?)

13 days until the return of NFL Football so today we honor Dan Marino, quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. The NE Patriots cut Cam Newton:

Patriots released QB Cam Newton.

The Mac Jones era begins in New England after the team's shocking release of Newton, who drew continuous praise from head coach Bill Belichick during his stint with the team. The Patriots reportedly didn't try to trade Newton before his release. The unvaccinated Newton missed a critical week of joint practices after a COVID-19 testing mixup prevented him from entering the team facility. Jones then took all the Pats' first-team reps and perhaps established himself as the unquestioned starter. Jones will head into the regular season without the threat of Newton taking goal line carries -- a boon for Jones, Damien Harris, and the rest of the team's skill position players. The Boston Globe's Ben Volin said releasing Newton "was the only way to make this Mac Jones' team and give him the space he needs to become the leader." Jones profiles as a decent pick in superflex formats but only as a floor option in a New England offense determined to play bully ball this season. After years of passing struggles, it's fair to question whether Newton, 32, is done as an NFL starter.

I could see him reviving his career in the thin air of Denver. I'm not sure that I would do it if I was Elway though. From the reports Lock looks good.
