Coronavirus

People's natural immune system is a great defense. That's why vaccines are designed to utilize it. I'm glad I get to have something that lets my immune system experience and adapt to a dangerous pathogen without actually having said pathogen that's only purpose is to reproduce as it rips my cells apart in my body.

The best way to stop big oppressive government is with bigger more oppressive government.

Hey Lux, do you bring those memes with you on road trips to Vegas with the fellas or talk in the car like the rest of us do? Must be quite a trailer to haul if you insist on it.
Memes, photos, videos, and articles make the points much more eloquently than I ever could.

Bullshit. We luv ya, lux, but we're about to conduct a meme intervention on you. My crazy ass will be the first one through the door to throw a wet blanket over you. You'll need a tranquilizer dart the size of a Hellfire Missile to stop me so it ain't happening.

Lux, you have a voice. We want to hear it. Your words are way more important than any meme from a neurotic addled comic.

I sit at Thanksgiving Table every year having to look into the faces of a bunch of android Engineers. People so brilliant you're afraid to ask what they really do. Like sitting in Pep Boys after the employees have all gone home though. Just a bunch of machine parts and switches scattered around the table. The new firmware gives them the ability to blink.

I always wonder about the people that don't want to take a vaccine because they don't know what's in it, but will unquestioningly take some blood pressure, diabetes, pain, or just about any other medication while not only not knowing what's in it, but not even being able to pronounce the scientific chemical name of the drug they take even if they did. They do all that because some medical professional that knows a lot more than they do told them it was for the best, but when doctors and scientist that know much more than them tell them getting a vaccine is much more beneficial than not having it they just don't give a damn or think there is some conspiracy against them.

I know this is a shocking statement and thought to some, but it's okay for one to admit their own ignorance on a subject and defer to people that are a lot smarter than they are and are experts on a subject they lack knowledge about.

Death also causes a drop in intelligence.

It's not funny by any means, but I did chuckle.

"[He] commented on a Twitter post from public health expert Leana Wen, who shared findings from a trial indicating that the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech remains effective against the virus for at least six months after the second dose. Apley replied to the tweet by writing, “You are an absolute enemy of a free people,” and “#ShoveTheCarrotWhereTheSunDontShine.”"

On the plus side, the gofundme set up for him has raised $30k.

The point of these memes is to motivate people to get vaccinated.

A friend of his: "COVID took one of my best friends! RIP Dick Farrel. He is the reason I took the shot. He texted me and told me to 'Get it!' He told me this virus is no joke and he said, "I wish I had gotten it!" I was one of one the people like him who didn't trust the vaccine. I trusted my immune system. I just became more afraid of getting COVID-19 than I was of any possible side effects of the vaccine. I'm glad I got vaccinated."
