You should have read those tea leaves after the Mets series.

Those tea leaves were floating in the water before that Bob but, yeah, losing 3 of 4 to the Mets is very telling.

What you have going on is a slump. Mine is a microcosm for the entire season. 3 starting players hitting .200 or less and we can't blame that on injuries. The Mets haven't scored a run in 23 innings. No Met pitcher has gotten a base hit either. I know pitchers aren't depended upon to provide offense but no other team has zero hits from their pitchers this season.

it's been a very weird start to the season for a lot of hitters
of course some closer's do not look to good either
and i'm surprised the Phillies are anywhere near 500
and boy what's going on in Atlanta their last 10 games they look worse than the Astros

Do not be afraid of Milwaukee. A week early schedule. Hasn't faced the Dodgers, the Rocks, Miami, Giants, Nats, or even us Mets. Have them play some +.500 teams. and then let's talk. Yanks, Jays, and Birds still to come. I hate Milwaukee more than the Yankees, Phillies, Braves, or any other fucking team that has ever played the game. Bud Selig shifts his team to the NL for more gate and tosses the Astros to the AL. Do you realize that there was a 32 year gap where they didn't make the playoffs? I hate that prick.

I come back to the boards for the first time in *forever* and I see someone hating on my Brewers.

funny those Brewers have split the first 2 against the Yankees. The sign of good team is taking advantage of your schedule

Brewers took two out of three from the Yankees and the only reason there was a loss on Friday was because I upset the balance of power by leaving work an hour and a half late.

and i seem to remember the Brewers Sweeping the Red Sox in Boston. will they be there all year? hard to tell, but they are off to a very promising start while everyone else is their division struggles

No one ever seems to know what to do when the Brewers do well.
Oh, well. I'll just enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts.

Lost the game with +160 but got the under-6.5 with +115. Going to take the Mets again and wait for the over/under to show odds.

Don't look now but we're only 2.5 games behind you after Waino one-hit the D-backs last night while y'all we're getting shut-out by Teheran and the Braves. Thanks to the Reds and Pirates for losing as well!

Mets lose 5-3 to Pirates, after taking a one run lead into the 8th inning.

Jose Valerde gets only 2 of 8 players out while trying for a two inning save...

Breaking news: The New York Mets fire hitting coach Dave Hudgens and release Jose Valerde.

I'd love to see the Jays be competitive again but I'm not buying it. This is fools gold.

Something had to be done. The 7-8-9 hitters are automatic outs and defenses are very comfortable putting the shift on in any situation. Bobby Abreu must have told Hudgens to go fuck himself the first time he tried to coach him.

looks like the NL Central's going to be very competitive this year, even the Cubs are playing decently for them
yeah the Mets had to make changes

The Mets have been a money pit since they built Citi Field. Committed to Beltran's contract where he got hurt and lacked production. $42M to Jason Bay to produce nothing. Does anyone remember Oliver Perez? $45M for 5 years, 29-29 4.71 ERA. And good ol' Johan Santana. 2008 16-7 but goes under the knife. 2009 13-9 and back under the knife. 2010 11-9 and guess what? Back under the knife. 2011 recover from surgery. 2012 on the DL twice, 6-9 4.85 ERA. 2013 back to the doctor during spring training. $47M of contract not pitching for 2 years and he's getting $5M to buy him out for this season. What did we get for the rest of his $138M contract? 46-34 3.18 in 109 starts.

Add the $420M to pay for the stadium and $162M they have to pay the Bernie Madoff fund and this team if fucking broke. Katz is disgusted floating money to pay the bills but Wilpon wants to keep it in the family. Matt Harvey's injury couldn't have come at a more convenient time. Even if he was here there's no way the Mets would have gotten decent players to fill their roster. Tickets, seats, luxury boxes, parking, concessions have all been down since they opened. They lost $70M in 2011. They say this is a rebuilding year? I'll bet that the opening day 2015 roster is no different from 2014 plus Matt Harvey.

You just have to laugh at how shitty the Royals organization is, every single player they have drafted has busted, there are pitchers in the National league with more homers than most of their players, they are a disgrace. I can't wait til my Cards roll into Kauffman and fill that stadium up with a sea of red and kick those fucking bums asses.

And to cap it off they passed on George Springer to draft a guy named Bubba Starling who can't even get out of Low A ball. Nuke that entire team from orbit, I'm sick of looking at that black mark on the MLB.
