Motherboard generally writes some really good stuff about the porn industry, but their latest piece, which talks about how porn’s social progress has been driven by the internet, is especially good.
Particularly so because it centres its discussion around the release of Dana Vespoli‘s latest title, Girl / Boy 2. And can I just say that’s one of the very best porn DVD covers I have ever seen. Brilliant work.
Porn has always been at the forefront of progress when it comes to technology, but I do think it shoots itself in the foot when it comes to more social matters – you only have to look at the way race is represented in large pockets of it for evidence of that.
But there’s no question this title is a breakthrough, even more so when you consider that it’s headlined by Buck Angel, one of the industry’s most visible stars regardless of gender or sexuality, and Valentina Nappi, who has dominated popularity polls on FreeOnes for months now.
