Who played Fallout 3?

This game is too fun! I would rate it a 9.9 (.1 being for the music) Operation Anchorage, although being short, was still fun. Next expansion coming out is The Pitt where it takes place in Pittsburgh.

Personally it'd not too bad, although the ending compared to the way Blackisle handled the end sequence of the first two is lifeless and pallid by comparison.
Although having said that Beth are supposidly changing the ending with the third DLC (Xborx 360/PC only).
Some of the things they've done with it are ok, others I went eh what the blazes.
Overall, I'm enjoying it especially on the PC.

what the fuck you lookin at?
I'm gonna be finishing this game today. I'm right at the point were I go back into the monument, so it won't be long. I'm gonna head off and go do some side quests for achievements first, then come back and finish it up!

If you didn't like Oblivion you won't like this game :p

Oblivion wasn't fail but it's just too damn big. I'm awesome at RPG's but oblivion got me so lost.

I have always though non-linearness was way overrated in RPGs and Oblivion took that to a whole new level. It's just too disjoined in it. To be fair I think the openness in Fallout works a lot better for it.

yea it really does. Its a huge map, but not hard to find places you need to be.

Just beat the game tonight. I liked how there were multiple endings depending on what your choice at the end is. I watched all of them, pretty cool!

do u have the 3 DLC's?
Operation:Anchorage
the Pitt
Broken Steel
i finished the game and then have started on these missions now
and there is a 4th due out in a few weeks

EVERYONE LISTEN UP.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT buy any of the DLC for Fallout 3 that is put out on disc.

They are releasing two discs [two add on packs on each disc]. Which means there are four add on packs in total right? WRONG. There is five add on packs altogether. Not four. The only way to get all five is the game of the year edition from what I read.

Wait for Fallout 3: Game Of The Year Edition in October. As it has ALL FIVE add on packs in with the main game as well. So that is worth buying. To buy these packs seperate is silly, for they are only giving you four out of the five packs. They must think some people will buy the seperate two discs full of add on packs AND the GOTYE when it comes out. Which would mean more money needlessly wasted. And you would end up with two copies of the first four add on packs. Two of which you'd never use again due to them being in with the Game of the Year edition.

Wait till October for the GOTYE I am. It will be worth the wait. Untill then though, I is stuck with just the normal game. But October will be worth the wait.

well putting the games out on 2 different discs then the GOTYE is a way to make money and that is the idea of business right?
ok now where are you stuck? the game is sorta easy to figure out so how can u be stuck?

It's a rip off and people will only buy into it if they dont know any better. This is what Bethesda are relying on. That is why I stated it is best to wait for the GOTYE as it has five add on packs in with the game. Where as if you buy the discs you will only ever get four add on packs. It's a suckers game Bethesda are planning and they want the likes of us to play along. Well I aint no sucker. The GOTYE is the only other version I will buy as I am not wasting money buying the same product more than twice [normal version of Fallout 3 and the GOTYE] to hell with the seperate incomplete add on discs.

Each to their own thing though. If some want to buy the add on discs and then the GOTYE that is their choice I suppose. I am just trying to let people that dont know know the sit rep so they can make the best choice for themselves.

I am not stuck, my friend. I have completed it four times in a short time due to it being kind of shallow in depth. What I did say though was I was stuck with the normal game untill the GOTYE comes out. Meaning that the normal version of the game is the only version I'll have till the GOTYE arrives

It's kind of funny how Bethesda stated that people will be able to finish the game in about thirty or fourty hours but if you want everything it should take you up to about one hundred hours. One hundred hours of what? exploring to find every settlement and town and vault? because there is little else to find in a wasteland that looks the same everywhere you go. It's funny to think that they think we will sit there for another seventy or so hours searching for towns and shacks that dont give you much [if anything]. Stupid little bits of eye candy like crashed UFO's and dead aliens beside the wreckage are not worth the time to prowl the land. More side quests and more main mission quests is what is needed in the main game. Not giving this to us in add on packs that could have been there to begin with.

It is a short game and one that could be way longer than it is. Yes I like the atmosphere in the game a lot but that doesn't mean that I should sit there in denial of the faults the game has. This game only sold what it did through the rep Bethesda had with Oblivion and Morrowind. Because if it wasn't for those two games, this Fallout would have sold what the first two sold, and that was peanuts compared to Bethesda's titles.

Bethesda talk about how much time and effort went into this game and it was a labour of love for them. Pitty they never though that when it came to the storymode and lack of side quests.

Oblivion wasn't fail but it's just too damn big. I'm awesome at RPG's but oblivion got me so lost.

You can't be that awesome pal if you got lost and found Oblivion's size to be intimidating. After a couple of hours in Oblivion you should have the feel for things. If not, then it is down to your own faults as a gamer, not the game. I thought it was intimidating for the first hour or so then after that when I knew what I was doing everything fell into place and I was stalking the land sniping people in the back of the head with arrows and raiding their pockets for gold. And I loved going into churches and stalking the people that worked and lived in them. I waited till they were in bed and sniped them with a head shot [one shot should do it] that kills them outright. To kill people with arrows with a single shot you need to be in sneak mode as you get critical damage bonuses if they dont detect you in sneak mode. And if it states the person is unconcious then they are obviously needed later on for something, but that didn't stop me from trying to kill them. I gave myself the title of: The Cheydinhal Stalker. As I killed just about everyone that I came across, and those who's houses [and shops and Inn's] I entered through the art of lock picking fell to my blade and arrows too.
