What football clubs do you people support?

Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool and whatever team Fredrik Ljungberg is in(i've forgotten)

Im sorry you really cant support Man United, Liverpool & Arsenal, only one. Those clubs are massive rivals and the fans for the most part hate the other teams/fans you mentioned.
Supporting more than one club playing at the same sort of level is incredibly unusual, many people support say a premier league team and a really low level non league type team, often from their home town.
Speaking as a United fan, i look for my own towns clubs result and admire the skill / ability of some players from other teams and dont mind watching others on tv but to support either Arsenal or Liverpool aswell it unthinkable!

larss

I'm watching some specialist videos
oh you mean soccer. I am glad I read this, cause with Football I am a born and bred Patriots fan, being from Boston ;)

No, we mean Football - i.e. the sport where you kick the ball with the foot, rather than picking it up and running with it.

I have been a Gooner for over 40 years.

Manchester United

Special Operations FOX-HOUND
A Red Devil since I first heard of them, the 1998/1999 season.

Leeds United.

how anyone can say they support more than one team is strange to me, its Leeds and no one else as far as im concerned.

Now that the Vikings are going to get their new stadium, to the tune of almost a billion dollars, there is apparently a stipulation in the works to get an MLS team. That should be cool.

What's wrong with rooting for multiple teams?

i just dont get how you can claim to be a genuine 'fan' of more than one team. Im a Leeds fan, always have been, always will. If Leeds were to go out of business i would still watch football for entertainment but i couldnt follow another team, i would juat watch games for the enjoyment, and not have to go through all the pain and mysery that goes with being a Leeds fan!

Chicago Bears (just kidding, my European friends, so spare us the attitude-filled song and dance about what "football" is. ;) )
Chicago Fire are my football team. I have their logo for my profile picture now, seeing as the Cubs are a huge embarrassment in baseball this year (again).

Chelsea for now.
For now ?!
What does this means. Have you supported other teams in the past ? Will you support other teams in the future ?!
This is non-sense : Once you're supporting one team, you support it 'til you're dead !

To be honest I like all the English teams.
How can you support all english teams ?! Anyone who knows soccer would say you can't support both Arsenal & Tottenham, Liverpool & Everton, Liverpool & Manchester U, Manchester United & Manchester City. It's like saying you support both Barcelona FC and Real Madrid, Giants and Cowboys, Lakers and Celtics, Yankees and Red Sox : it's impossible !

^ this.

back up my earlier point, i dont see how you can say you support more than one team, especially teams in the same country!

Also anyone who says 'chelsea for now' is just glory hunting. As far as im concerned there are two ways to pick your team, either by geographical location, i.e. the team that is closest to you when you are growing up, or another reason would be if you are following your parents choice of team, and they take you to a game. Im from Leeds originally but live in Scotland now, but my children are going to be Leeds fans too, im going to make sure that i get them to a game nice and early to make sure of it! :D partly because i want to be able to go to games with my children, partly because i want to introduce another generation of fans to my club, but living in Glasgow i want them to avoid all the negativity and trouble that can come with following the Old Firm.

Its easy to look at who is top of a league, or winning trophies and pick them. And i can bet that manchester city will see an increase in their fan base over the comming years, but thats the easy way out. If you are lucky enough to be born close the Eastlands or Stamford Bridge then good luck to you, but other than that you pick your team and be miserable about it like the rest of us!
