Superman has telescopic vision and could 'pick up' Luke's location very easily,unless he is hiding in lead.
Superman heat vision is not a single eyebeam,it's a complete blast that would overwhelm him completely.
His breath not only can freeze him,he can make it blow him away as in the force of a hurricane. Pre-Crisis Superman can move planets,Superman would just move the planet Luke was on and throw it into the sun.:rofl:
