This could go very very badly for American racists. A similar thing happened in some parts of Australia years ago when Aussie nazis took exception to large numbers of Asians moving to our cities. They found out very quickly that the Asians had numbers and weren't real big on being victimized and attacked.

For some people, doing what's right and standing up for yourself is more important than hiding from danger. It's horrible that she was attacked, but it's good that she inflicted more damage than she received. It's the best possible outcome for that situation.
