Umm...yeah,...I sort of figured that one out, not that the name has meant anything to me before today. :1orglaugh

I just noticed the year she won Miss USA. That's a long time ago, so she must be in her late 30's by now. Not only did she decide to go into porn for some reason she waits until now.

For some porn company to get a Miss USA might be a big thing...if she recently won or people actually knew who she was. A year or two now the chances are nobody will care and it will be a footnote somewhere. I would bet she either really needs money before her mainstream career heads off for the sunset, or she is desperately trying to extend her 15 minutes of fame a few more seconds hoping to cash in somehow.

Actually besides the A and B list people a lot of actors like being a regular on soap operas just for the fact it's one of the most stable acting jobs in the mainstream business. Compared to other places there is more job security and it's not unusual for even relative unknowns to stay for years. I wouldn't be surprised if the competition for the acting gigs on them is quite fierce and a lot of their acting ability would be better than people think it is if they ever were given a chance with something bigger. Not that I'm saying anything about her specifically, for all I know she could suck, but I wouldn't assume all soap people suck at acting.

I think she was sincere when she said she wanted to combine her two passions. I get that. It will be interesting to see how a mainstream porno as opposed to a "leaked" sex tape affects her career. Still, I don't think its fair to compare her to Pam or Paris, as Pamela was already a major celebrity, and Paris had already signed to do that MTV show.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. She's probably got a big mortgage and not many acting offers/auditions lined up....
