Deepfakes Movement Causes Privacy Concerns

Like many of you, I’m sure, I hadn’t even heard of deepfakes until a few weeks ago – and now it is one of the most Googled words relating to porn and celebrities online.
If you’re still unfamiliar with it, the BBC covers it in this article. There seems to be some doubt about whether it should be lumped under the revenge porn banner, but why not?
It’s still the unwilling manipulation and usage of a woman’s image for means she has never approved. Clearly it can be used for fun purposes but as with most things, its sinister side is what is grabbing most of the headlines.
