Maura is a gifted radio and television host, actress and singer. Maura majored in Communications Studies and minored in Cinema at Concordia University in Montreal and graduated with distinction. She trained in jazz vocals under world-renowned, Juno winning jazz diva, Jeri Brown.
Maura's voice has been heard over the airwaves as a radio personality for over a decade on everything from classic rock stations to contemporary hit radio. She has interviewed the stars, like Maroon 5, Lady Gaga and Bon Jovi, hosted live listening sessions and national syndicated shows.
Maura was the host of the highly successful TV series, SPACE FOR LIVING on HGTV, a design show that took Maura around the globe to interview home owners in places like China, France and Sweden. In 2011, Maura joined the hosting cast on season 3 of the CBC smash hit, BATTLE OF THE BLADES.
In 2013, Maura was cast in the MGM, Columbia Pictures and Strike Entertainment remake of the 1987 cult classic film ROBOCOP. She played live action reporter, 'Kelly Perkins' along side an all-star cast, including Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman & Michael Keaton.
Currently, Maura is co-host on 99.9 Virgin Radio Toronto's Tucker in the Morning, heard weekday mornings from 5:30 to 9 AM. Fans can look forward to seeing Maura back on the silver screen in director Alejandro Amenabar's REGRESSION in 2015, and in season two of Guillermo del Toro's hit TV show, THE STRAIN.
