Jeffrey J. Douglas is a preeminent attorney in the adult industry. He specializes in criminal defense in state and Federal courts. Since 1982, he has advised various segments of the adult industry, ranging from creators and manufacturers to distributors and direct consumer sales. His clients include many notable manufacturers, distributors, and resellers of sexually explicit content, as well as hundreds of internet companies.
Mr. Douglas serves as Chair of the Free Speech Coalition’s Board of Directors, the trade association for the adult industry. He is also Chairman Emeritus of the First Amendment Lawyers Association and a former Director of the ACLU Foundation of Southern California.
Renowned as a national spokesperson for the adult industry and an expert witness, Mr. Douglas frequently appears in the media, has testified before Congress, and authored numerous articles. He is known for successfully defending clients in state and Federal obscenity cases and is an authority on 18 U.S.C. 2257.
