That previous neighborhood never really bounced back after COVID.
Some places gentrified, but most of the businesses left. Most of the.. upper class apartments just became shut-ins of moderately successful 20 something's.

Ya know the place is going to hell when the mall sells itself, the GameStops shut down and there are an excess of tanning booths, wig salons and liquor stores.

So I moved into the hard ghetto, next.
It's fine, minus the constant crime, sex proposals and random questions. "No sir i don't need any crystal nor do i know anyone who does. good luck, tho"

The prices went up, bad things happened, ppl died from COVID, moved in with their families if they could, and now.. lessee..

My brother's mom died so he went back home to see her in the hospital, he lost his job so moved in and left his grand am behind. (Not that it ran, but whatevs)

My friends car died, they moved by ghetto rigging it one last time, ran out of money, sold it, ran out again.. and they're in a shelter, now. I went to see them, 2 days ago. 14 mile walk. It was fun, minus the walking back part and the city there in is depressing af.

All the local business here are gone. Supermarket shut down 6 years ago, family dollar 2 years, cvs has 2 security guards. It's.. cozy.

Some friends went nuts. Some just never responded. Family is doing their own thing and actually despise me in the same way libs and cons do in political circles - I'm not on their side, i suppose? Because I ran away from home 20+ years ago and didn't message them.
(That's kinda the point, when you exit from a situation, ya know?)

I had a few illegitimate jobs. I know how to do drywall, now. I was in front of a Walmart taking donations for the military, for a while. But found out in the end that none of the donations went anywhere. I feel bad about that, but.. i guess props to the guy for actually selling the whole con - he had a non profit tag, a website, advertised on fb.. and we always went out of state to get donations. Never back home. Was SUS. But i needed work, so..

Had a heart attack that didn't kill me. December 2021. Felt weak af for almost three whole next year. Started walking again last August. (No, not wheelchair bound. I meant walking kicked my ass in the way that... Trekkng to the gas station nextdoor would make me winded. Jerking off felt like running a marathon , etc)

Never had solid WiFi. Still don't have a pc. Picked up an actual cell phone of my own! A Google pixel. It's sooo nice to actually own something, again. (Yeah, so.. it's the little things in life i appreciate. ) (That's NOT what she said. Rimshot)

Me and my friends didn't have enough to stay in the motel we were in, it's only been a week.. they're in a shelter and I'm.. in flux. But okay atm

Tldr I'm fine, now. Healthy. Not stressed. Have my moments of contentedness. And even see the ex wife every so often. (Nude and willing, and cross your fingers that this middle aged couple gets back together. I could use some stability.)
