something completely different

hey all.. I use(d) music match juke box for my mp3 music.. but today I wanted to clean my library so I removed all tracks from library but accedentely I also selected the option 'also remove tracks from my computer'.. they're not in trash can, but they are gone (2000 songs, took me years...).. Anyone knows a way to get them back, Ive heared some software claims to know ho to do it.

I can't help you, but this happened to a friend of mine also a few months ago. He had a shit load of music. He ask someone he
know that is real go with computers and he looked at it.
He told him they were gone forever. Sorry.

I don't know of anyway they could be removed from the system without entering the Recycle Bin.

Try searching with *.(extension name) and see if you can find the directory that way. You could also try (song name).*

If you've already done that, just check you're remaining disk space, that many files leaving would make a huge difference in the space showing. At least then you'll know whether or not they're really gone.

Other than that, I don't know what to try.

When something like that happens to me I usually hit my computer, or sometimes the moniter. It never really helps, but it makes me feel a little better. Maybe you could try that. good luck, I hope it works out for you. I feel your pain. I lost all my porn one time, it's like losing a close friend. but a whole bunch of close friends who are hot and naked.

yes it is possible to retrive them.....just whateva you do dont empty your recycle bin!...they may not be in there when you open it but they are.....you need to use the latest version of cleansweep and on there you can recover files that have been automatically delted by the computer.....there are other ways too....search police detele on download.com.....its a prgram based around what police use to find evidence on a con's computer....hope that helps.....i'll let you know if i find out anything more.....

it happend to me a while ago and i managed to recover everything thru dos....took me a long long long long time tho.....9,000 mp3's.....i managed to recover about 70ish percentage of um...some were screwed up tho....

when you delete stuff in the recycle bin it doesnt quite delete as such.....it shoves itself onto a part of the hardrive until a full format is done
