‘How is this not racist?’: CNN’s Don Lemon shouts down guest, laughs at ‘token negro’ comment

CNN anchor Don Lemon is in hot water after telling a contributor to “shut up” in a debate on anti-Trump violence and laughing along with another guest who called Trump-supporting rapper Kanye West a “token Negro.”
Speaking on ‘CNN Tonight’ on Tuesday with network contributor and Daily Beast columnist Matt Lewis, Lemon became angry when Lewis suggested that the protesters that chased Senator Ted Cruz out of a restaurant two weeks ago and harassed Trump administration officials throughout the summer were a “mob.”

The Tea Party – a fringe Republican group – “didn’t hound people out of restaurants” Lewis argued. Lemon responded that protesters have the right to harass officials they don’t like in restaurants and exercise their First Amendment rights wherever they want, before losing his patience when Lewis wouldn’t back down on his definition of a “mob.”

Bring it on. Mind if I have a drink?" Lewis asked after a heated exchange.

"You can do whatever you want. You can leave the show if you want," Lemon replied.

"I’m not going to do that," Lewis said.

"Shut up and let me do it," Lemon said.

Lemon’s exchange with Lewis drew some attention on Twitter, but not half as much as his later discussion with network commentators Bakari Sellers and Tara Setmayer did.

Lemon laughed along as Sellers quipped “Kanye West is what happens when Negroes don’t read.”

“Listen, black folks are about to trade Kanye West in the racial draft, okay?” Setmayer chimed in. “He’s an attention whore like the president. He’s all of a sudden now the model spokesperson; he’s the token Negro of the Trump Administration,” she added, before suggesting that the 21-time Grammy winning rapper needed to be “hospitalized.”

Conservative Twitter was outraged.

“This is one of the most disgusting displays ever seen on TV,” said director and producer Robby Starbuck, while college Republican leader Candace Owens asked what the response would be “if those words were ever uttered on Fox News.”

Yeah because this couldn’t be considered attention whoring in the slightest...

black support for President Trump has doubled since last year. He's at 36%.

The democrats are finished without a monolithic black vote.

No wonder they are going after Kanye West as they are.

Even if that's true, which I highly doubt, that gain is minor compared to his losses among women.

Both are likely exaggerated. Unlike any politician perhaps in all of history, President Trump is the same guy he campaigned as. And women voters were apparently appalled by him then.

We'll see.

I find it rather interesting that neither Lemon nor any of his guests took racist (of course that was racist) cheap shots at Jim Brown. I mean, he was sitting right there beside Kanye. And that's not the first time Jim Brown has sat down with Trump. But they didn't call him out. Why is that, I wondered? My guess... cause that's Jim Brown. And even though he's 80-something and walking with a cane now, it's in the back of the mind of every living creature on Earth that Jim Brown still might break bad and kick your ass (especially if you're a short, slightly built, angry little homosexual).

Jokes aside though, yeah, Kanye is something of a pretentious clown - always has been. So that's not exactly a revelation. But here's what I see here: Hollywood is absolutely chock full of pretentious clowns. The pseudo-intellectual chatter and bleating from the likes of [NOBABE]Patricia Arquette, Taylor Swift, Debra Messing, Lena Dunham, Alec Baldwin[/NOBABE] and a whole host of others is no less stupid than anything that Kanye has said. The only (and I do mean ONLY) difference is, those people are singing the PC approved script of the left. If Kanye had gotten back on the plantation and followed the approved script, Don Lemon would be offering to blow him (and I'm only half joking there). I'm not a Kanye (or a Trump) fan. But by recognizing the fact that Black people are expected to be good, obedient Democrats, I have to give Kanye some credit for acting independently of the herd. And even though I didn't vote for him and I don't care for his temperament, I have to give Trump a hell of a lot of credit for where we are economically right now. I don't have to like people to be able to say that they are in the right when they're in the right... and in this case, I think both are. I don't like or dislike Lemon, but he and his guests did come off like small-minded idiots in this exchange... and they're in the wrong. And just remember, Don Lemon: Jim Brown might kick your ass. Tread carefully. :nono:

white liberals are racist as fuck and that's been shown here. Get under their skin (i.e, kick their ass) and they fall back to their racial epithets that they use in private company.

Fuck the left.

fuck white liberals. watch this

The problem is that Don Lemon was always an Obama muppet and a cheapshot, now he has fallen to the level of an absolute despicable pos dirtbag who is more racist than one can think of. The problem with double standard left wing people is that you are automatically libelled and slandered if you don't think like them. Furthermore a majority of Hollywood good thinking leftists liberals are a bunch of twists and spineless people, a big majority of Hollywood actors were and still are Obama muppets who can't think by their ownselves quite sadly.
