Sergio Ramos is the best defender in the game. However, there is no other defender I would want other than Gael Clichy of THE ARSENAL :thefinger He might be the fastest player in the world :bowdown:

Good list except Maicon and Gerard Pique should be on it instead of Fabio Cannavaro. I chose Dani Alves because he's a world class defender and attacker. He actually helps create alot of Messi's goals on the right side.

Carles (not Carlos) Puyol.

Difficutl to compare central denfensers like such av Puyol, Vidic, Lucio, Terry or Cannavaro with side-denfenders like Alves or Ramos : they have very different "missions". Side defensors do participate to the attack phase quite often. Central defenders do it very few ttimes.

The best defender now is Lucio by a million miles , I have to laugh seeing Terrys name on that list hes good but no were near the best in the world , I also like Evra from France and Sagnol , Ramos as well
