Charlie Sheen Revelations Cause ‘Porn Panic’

Unsurprisingly, the brilliant Aurora Snow has been able to sum up the mood of the porn industry in the aftermath of the Charlie Sheen revelations in another superb piece for The Daily Beast.
She rightly points out that there is no plan or protocol in place for a celebrity outside the industry being diagnosed as HIV positive which may have a knock-on effect on the industry itself.
She also sums up the mixture of worries – did he contract from one of his many porn star partners? Has he passed it on to one of them? It’s a very complicated and worrying situation.
Yet at the same time, you can’t order a shut-down of the industry based on suspicion and without a lack of evidence. Aurora’s piece here also points out that Sheen, while deserving of some sympathy, is the architect of his own downfall to a certain extent here.
