Exclusive interview with Daisy Duxe

Daisy Duxe gives an exclusive interview to Freeones where she answers some very interesting questions about what it’s like for her working in the adult industry…

What led you into the porn business?
I kind of tripped & fell into the porn business. I was managing a CPA firm in Valdosta, GA and taking some fun pictures with a local photographer. A Florida based porn company found those pictures on an online profile & contacted me about shooting porn. The amount of money they offered me was too attractive to say no.

Did you do anything else before you got into this business?
I have a business degree. Right out of college I managed a newspaper, then for 4 years I managed a fitness center(my favorite job besides what I do now), then managed a CPA firm.

If you had the opportunity to erase this part of your life and start over, would you?
Absolutely not. I feel like I came into it at a perfect age. I was old enough to be smart about things and learn to save money.

Are you open about your profession with anyone that asks, or are there certain people who you are reluctant to tell?
I have always been open about everything from the very beginning. I was working the beer cart at a very large golf course part-time after I did my first scene. I learned that telling them about the experience & answering their questions made me better money. They felt like they were talking to a pornstar (even though at that time I was a long way from being a star). They liked the fact that their questions didn’t bother me. I didn’t mind taking the time to answer them and I didn’t judge them for their inquiries.

How long do you intend to remain in this business? Are you planning on working up until you can no longer find work or is there a particular time line you have?
Honestly, I plan on being in this business until I am no longer enjoying it. Every Job has it’s good day & bad day…..my job has so many more good days than bad days……it’s a shame they call it a job. I don’t have a definite timeline laid out as of yet. I have my husband and my feature mom who have promised to tell me when it’s time “physically” to step aside. I just plan on enjoying it as long as I can!

There seems to be a general perception that participants in this business live life “in the fast lane,” because to most of us it seems that sex and partying goes hand in hand. With that being said, how do you find the time to get rest with all this excitement going on?
I have learned that prior to going into the club I sleep, rest and regroup during the day. Even among picking up show supplies and running errands on my own…I try to find time for a pilates session or to take my boston terrier on a nice long walk. Even if it’s a short 30 min nap it is better than nothing to reboost your energy so you can keep going. I do get help from coffees & sodas….but I try to avoid those as much as possible.

How much control do you have of your work? Do you get to choose who you work with?
As far as my work that I shoot & produce at home I have full control….usually working with friends. In a professional setting on a set I do get to say who I would like to work with. I prefer the ones that are cool and fun to hang out with….before and after we have a scene.

Can you refuse to do scenes with people you don’t click with?
I do have a list of “NO’S”….its short at this point….thank goodness.

Do you have your say about the use (or not) of condoms in a scene if you do b/g hardcore?
Bodily Fluids are being transmitted with or without condom. Even birth control is not 100% fool proof. Id say if he was full panel tested w/the extra new stuff I wouldn’t think twice about a condom.

What is the best part of your job? The worst?
The best part of my job is that I get to meet some really cool people & make some really great friends along the way. There are those few that still teach us up & coming talent how to make it work. The best part of my job is to be on stage and to manipulate a beautiful customer out of her clothes & getting her on stage with me!!! The worst part of a job can be disrespectful guys or very demanding guys. I also hate a stage full of people & they wont clap, or yell, or scream…….they just sit there looking at you, STRIPPING IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT!

What is the strangest thing you’ve been asked to do on set? Did you do it?
Hmmm……maybe to pull hard on a guys balls while he was trying to cum. I didn’t want to hurt the guy, but it seemed thats what he needed to finish. So…yes, I did it!

What is the most embarrassing thing to ever happen to you while on the job?
I’ve been fortunate enough not to have any crazy things go down on set. Maybe the occasional queef that the crew cannot tell if it was a queef or not. I wish I had a more exciting story.

Should there be more kissing on the lips between actors, or is kissing considered “too intimate” for the porn business?
I’ve done scenes with kissing & I’ve done some without. As for me…when I’m watching porn kissing isn’t important…to some people it is. It doesn’t bother me to do it in a film….as long as the guy isn’t trying to gag me with his tongue. I like teasing kissing.

What is the first thing you did or bought with your first porn paycheck?
I think I used it to catch up on bills since my 8-5 job wasn’t cutting it.

Do you feel that “fame” has cramped your lifestyle similar to what a mainstream film star might feel?
Absolutely not…..I do enjoy it when I get recognized and love the random airport autograph. However, I typically can go unnoticed 99% of the time so far. I’m usually in jeans & a tank top with a pony tail & no makeup! However, if somebody sees me…don’t be afraid to say hi.

Has porn affected your personal sex life? If so, how?
I feel that porn has made my personal sex life better. It makes me crave the relaxed intimate atmosphere of personal sex. I crave the emotional connection that is missing on set. Plus it’s nice not to have to worry about where the lights are…if anything is wrinkled…and are we out of tape!

Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have 3 dogs that are my absolute babies. I have a 4 year old Boston Terrier, I have two 3 year old bulldogs. They were all rescue dogs and I love to spoil them rotten. My boston terrier likes to travel with me when the hotel & driving arrangements permit.

What do you like to do when you’re not working? Do you have any hobbies?
Sleep…..Be on my computer……sleep……Ride my motorcycle…..sleep…..hang out with friends & drink margaritas…..sleep…..did I mention I like to sleep?

What are your future ambitions?
I am taking my career one day, week or month at a time. I want to pursue this career as long as I am enjoying it. There is nothing worse than a pornstar who is tired of her job. I want to meet more friends & fans on the road….and make more movies that I will be proud of for the rest of my life.

Is there anything you would like your fans to know specifically about you?
I am a very down to earth girl. I love to chat & hang out. Most men who come to see me on tour are intimidated and don’t want to come and talk to me. I am a very relaxed & cool person…..so don’t be afraid to say hi. I don’t mind answering your questions about my career & job. I just want a guy to watch one of my movies & feel like he has a new friend after meeting me.
