The British Playboy model April Summers has spoken out about the revenge porn ordeal she endured at the hands of a blackmailer who duped her with a fake photo shoot.
As reported in The Independent, she agreed to a photo shoot that she believed was for Loaded magazine only to discover that explicit footage had been taken of her by an obsessive cameraman.
I think this story is quite important beyond the obvious great news that he is in jail for his crimes. But for those out there that mistakenly presume Playboy and nude models to be porn stars, this should be an eye-opener.
Just because someone poses topless or nude for a magazine or website, it does not mean they are automatically consenting to being seen committing any kind of sex act. Treat models as they deserve and demand to be treated, and label them respectfully.
