Emiri Okazaki: “I Made $168,000 In One Month From Porn”
In an eye-opening interview with the YouTube channel Asian Boss, the former Japanese porn star Emiri Okazaki claimed that she was able to make up to $168,000 in one month from porn. Earning up to $6,000 a shoot, she claims she would shoot almost every day but that the emotional strain of all this work eventually took its toll on her mental health, and she retired in 2016.
The beginning of Emiri’s career
Emiri Okazaki started modelling when she was just 16. At the time, she enjoyed being seen on TV, but that had to end one day. When she turned 21, she started wondering where her career was headed. She realized that she wasn’t going anywhere with the modelling business and decided to join the entertainment business.
When the time came for her first porn shoot, she couldn’t sleep. A lot of things went through her head because this was something much different from her previous career. Her first shoot actually lasted two days, and she barely got any sleep at the time. They were working from 7 am and didn’t stop shooting until 9 pm. That’s a lot of time in front of the camera, especially for Emiri Okazaki, who was just a beginner at the time.
How did she feel after starting her porn career?
While Emiri was at the studio, she didn’t know what to feel. Everything was new to her, but that changed as soon as she went home. As she said in the interview, she started crying once she finished her first porn scene and went home. She had a lot of mixed feelings, but she is glad she joined the porn industry. The experience was definitely positive, and she doesn’t regret anything.
The relationship with her mother was ruined
No parent would want to hear that their kid is doing porn. However, in the case of Emiri, there were different reactions from her parents. Since her parents were divorced at the time, her father wanted to be as supportive as possible and told her to do whatever she wanted as long as she was happy. However, her mother had the completely opposite reaction.
Once she told her mother about the next step in her career, her mother stopped talking to her. Not only did she stop talking to her, but she also blocked her and didn’t want to return her calls for six months. After some time passed, her mother accepted that her daughter was a pornstar, but she never really talked with her about the job.
How did she make so much money?
At the beginning of her porn career, Emiri Okazaki was making around $10.000 a month. Once she became more popular in Japan, she started making more scenes and getting paid a lot more per scene. At the peak of her career, she earned up to $6.000 per shoot and made up to 28 scenes every month. This was the period she was earning the most money in her life, but it didn’t last long because her mental health got worse, and she finally decided to quit the porn industry in 2016.
