Pornhub ‘Sitting On 7000 Years Of Porn Footage’

Here’s an intriguing article.
It actually has some scientific base to it as well, based on figures that Pornhub has released themselves.
The thing is what exactly is this content? Is it content that they actually plan on releasing or that they are sitting on for various reasons, possibly legal?
Also, does it contain a lot of retro content that was previously considered lost or rare? Because I’m quite passionate about this subject and if they are sitting on such content, release it!
For such a vast resource, they have actually been quite poor at covering porn history. Compare to the amount of obscure films that are piled up on YouTube and have received a new lease of life, they are doing a bad job.
